Former public officer charged over alleged $18m NDIS claims plot

Northern Territory police and the federal Fraud Fusion Taskforce arrested a 39-year-old Darwin woman on Tuesday in connection with an alleged NDIS fraud scheme involving more than $18 million. She faces five charges, including dishonestly obtaining a financial benefit and corruptly influencing her public duties. Police said she and a 47-year-old Darwin man allegedly claimed more than $28 million in NDIS funding since 2019, with about $18 million flagged as suspicious.
