Who built it
I'm Ted Fouts. I've spent twelve years in insurance, in claims leadership and executive roles. Executive leadership means learning every department and how it works, so I understand how an entire insurance company runs, not just one corner of it. I know how to build out a claims department, and I know how to design technology that people actually find easy to use. I'm not a tech founder who wandered into insurance. I'm an insurance professional who believes the people doing this work should have tools that match how demanding it has become.
That conviction shapes everything here. PolicyPortal is solo-founded, self-funded, and run on no outside capital. With no investors to answer to, the roadmap follows what the people who use it actually need. I build for an industry I know, and I'm accountable to the professionals who rely on it.
